Very true! I think the bigger picture here is what will happen to enforce these knuckleheads who continue to use it. Well, that will be bait bans on the rivers we fish including the Columbia. Ask yourself how important is the use of a preservative when we know Salmon will bite herring, Sardine, Sandshrimp, naturally cured eggs, spinners, wobblers, plugs, etc,etc… So why push the issue needlessly? Selfishness?????? By the way Todd, this fisherman you quote must not be much of one if he can only get them with Sulfite cured egg’s. Same guy that will switch to flossing (snaggin) when they wont take his eggs….

Out to ruffle some feathers,are we? I know it’s best to get rid of the sodium sulfite….They now have their proof….I mentioned it to a fellow angler and his reply went something like this: “f*** em! I will just go and buy my own pure sodium sulfite and add it to my own cures!”….I think he’s missing the point….This crap is killing our smolts,whether you put it in,or it’s in there already….We fishermen can be a narrow-minded,shallow,and thoughtless bunch sometimes…What a ****!

That water looked nastier than I expected looking at it from the beach. A rough water skunkola would have really sucked.
I’m predicting 35 tuna on the 21st with a few Piggie nooks the next day if we’re not too worn out.
