Crabbing has been really good lately and the big diners that follow have been delicious! Check the recipe section for the Asian Crab Chowder its to die for. Probably head out very soon for more crab but a few local river trips will be mixed in for Coho and Chinook also. Hit the Columbia last Sunday with Todd, Seth , and Matt for some Chinook action. Congrats Seth on your first Chinook you fought it like a champ! Looking forward to fishing with you guy’s again reel soon. Thanks again Todd for the trip, its always a blast fishing with you, and I bet it feels great to get a guy on his first nook.

My Favorite Time Of The Year…..
With out a doubt Fall in the Northwest for me is the best time of the year. Like a kid that can’t wait for Christmas anticipation of Fall is equally exciting for me. The cool mornings and turning of the leaves signal that this amazing season is right on top of us as it does every year. The opportunity for angling is prime! The hardest part about this season is decision-making and planning. Where do I go? the coast? Do I take the drift boat or the sled? Fish the bay or the tribs? Maybe hit the Columbia, Cowlitz, Sandy, or the Lewis! What do I want to fish for Chinook, silvers, crab, or clams….Can you feel my pain? I can guarantee that fish will be hooked and friends will get to enjoy this amazing season with me. I can’t think of anything more comforting than a brisk fall morning watching the sunrise through the fog from the river or bay….The propane heater is lit and hissing away promptly after the first baits have hit the water. The thermos is opened and the first cup of steaming coffee is poured. The conversation begins with,” only a few more weeks and the winter steelhead should start to show!”

Happy Birthday Madison!!!!
Happy 9th birthday to Madison! Have a great Birthday and lets get you out fishing again really soon. Madison hooked into her first salmon this summer and is a terrific “Fishergirl”for sure!!!! Savannah thinks we need to head to Swift very soon and rip on some rainbows before the snow falls. Let us know and have a wonderful Bday!!!!!!
