Chrome at the end of October!!!!
Most wouldn’t expect to see such nice fish this late in the season right? I would agree but this year has been a little different. Me and a few others have been hitting the nickel all this month even with the low water blues being sung all over…Why did everyone leave the estuary when the silvers were still kegged up and called it a season. I had days with next to zero boats around and hitting 40 plus takes and bunches in the cooler! This weekend was no different! The only reason we didn’t limit was that we didn’t start to 11 and ran outa time and bait! Now fella’s the season has been extended to the end of the year on the popular tribs and the Columbia so get out there and get a few. I will be honest and let you know the tribs have a less amount of bright fish but the BigC is loaded with bright hard fighting silvers and an occasional Charlie. Hey the Columbia is sooo beautiful this time of year anyways so why even hit the tribs unless you don’t have a boat. Rumour has it that it’s an all around snaggerfest in these upper tribs anyways. Remember to turn in snaggers and poachers when you get the opportunity.

Jim and Kurt with rods in hand! No kidding a hit or fish every pass..

Bob aka "Sanderman" hooked up
The typical spinner and plug offering has been working real good but drop me a line if you want to know what the secret weapon is right now. Also I made it out with Double DD and Bob for the first driftboat trip of the season. It was a little slower but we still managed to get bit and Bob landed a nice native buck that was released.
Looking forward to the upcoming weekend to chase a few more around. I expect with the conditions we are having that we can expect to have some great fishing extended for a few more weeks. It will be nice to be hitting the silvers right up to the winters begin to show in some of my favorite rivers.
